Dress Code for Communion

At this time face masks will be required.  Etsy has some really cute communion face masks that will add a special touch to their communion outfit.  

Boys must wear the following:

• A suit with a white button dress shirt and a tie.  A Tie is mandatory.
  • ​Long or short sleeve is acceptable.
  • No polo shirt
• Dark dress slacks (black or navy).
  • No jeans or shorts
• Black or brown dress shoes.  No boots or athletic shoes (sneakers, tennis, or gym shoes)
• Suit jacket is preferred but not mandatory.

Girls must wear the following:

• A white dress
• White dress shoes.  Low-heeled, open toe is fine.  
  • No high heels, boots, or athletic shoes (sneakers, tennis, or gym shoes)
• At least knee length.
• No tight or revealing items. 
  • If the dress is backless or has spaghetti straps, a cardigan, shawl or other cover must be worn for the entire duration of the liturgy.
• Optional items: 
  • Gloves (must be removed before entering the communion line).
  • Tiara
  • Veil

Please iron or press your child’s clothing.  We want them all to look their best on this day.

Culturally appropriate special occasion dress is an acceptable. 
Examples:

• A Barong for Filipino culture.
• Ta'ovala and kafa or a tupenus for Tongan culture.

​Candles are NOT required for Communion.

Los niños deben usar lo siguiente:

• Un traje con una camisa de vestir blanca y corbata. La corbata es obligatoria
  • Manga larga o corta es aceptable.
  • Sin polo
• Pantalones de vestir oscuros (negro o azul marino).
  • No jeans o pantalones cortos.
• Zapatos de vestir negros o marrones. No se permiten botas ni calzado deportivo (zapatillas de deporte, tenis o zapatillas de gimnasia)
• La chaqueta de traje es preferida pero no obligatoria.

Las niñas deben usar lo siguiente:

• Un vestido blanco
• Zapatos de vestir blancos. Tacón bajo, punta abierta está bien
  • No tacones altos, botas o calzado deportivo (zapatillas de deporte, tenis o calzado deportivo).
• Al menos hasta la rodilla
• No hay artículos apretados o reveladores.
  • Si el vestido no tiene espalda o tiene tiras de espagueti, se debe usar un cárdigan, un chal u otra cubierta durante toda la liturgia
• Elementos opcionales:
  • Guantes (deben quitarse antes de entrar en la línea de comunión)
  • Tiara
  • Velo

Planche o presione la ropa de su hijo. Queremos que todos se vean lo mejor posible en este día.
