Parent Meetings
Any parent or guardian of a child receiving Communion or Confirmation this year is required to attend ALL Parent Meetings.
These meetings have a lot of information and allow you to get answers to your questions. I expect everyone to show up to the meetings unless there is a very good reason like you are working. Please be respectful of my time.
YOU MUST ATTEND THE PARENTS MEETINGS IF YOU HAVE A CHILD RECEIVING COMMUNION OR CONFIRMATION. FAILUER TO ATTEND THE MEETINGS MAY RESULT IN YOUR CHILD NOT RECEIVING THEIR COMMUNION OR CONFIRMATION THIS YEAR.

Letter to the parents:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our Religious Education program begins on September 11, 2022 and goes through May 28, 2023 and is for Kindergarten through Confirmation. The purpose of the Religious Education Program (REP) is to provide instructions in Catholic doctrine by qualified volunteer teachers. We have a group of dedicated teachers and office staff whose primary concern is the religious formation of your child(ren) and their safety. If you want to teach, please reach out to Pearl Lagua (801-891-7598) or email Pearl.Lagua@icloud.com. FYI: Teachers get one free tuition.
Now, I know we all want to put COVID in the past but that darn bug keeps rearing its ugly head. While I appreciate the desire to throw caution to the wind, we still need to keep our children and families safe. While we are holding in-person classes, we will follow the direction of the CDC, Bishop Solis, and Father Dominic. If we are asked to return to virtual classes, know that we are prepared and we can move to a virtual environment without disrupting your child’s education. At this time Masks are not required but we highly recommend that everyone wear masks.
The Communion and Confirmation (sacramental) programs are a two-year program.
Parent Meetings are held 3 times a year and are MANDATORY for all sacramental programs.
In addition to formal instructions, the REP may provide students an opportunity to take an active part in Mass and religious services. Children who have received First holy Communion can participate as Alter Servers. The participation is to help the students better understand their faith, but it can also provide a feeling of belonging to the parish and the Catholic community as a whole.
Communication
Every parent/guardian must join the GroupMe text messaging system so I can quickly contact everyone if we have an emergency, need to cancel class, or for other important information. Scan the QR Code below or use the URL: https://groupme.com/join_group/70634600/BmoRWLkN.
In case of an emergency, we will meet in at the large pine tree in the grass beside the church. If this area is unsafe, we will go to the baseball field. Children will not be allowed to leave church grounds unless accompanied by their parent or guardian.
